Falcon Heights: New Neighborhood with Forever Views of Burton Mesa

An exclusive new community in Vandenberg Village with an ideal location and views of a nearby nature preserve is drawing new homeowners to the Falcon Heights neighborhood. Eight homes have already been sold in the Williams Homes development, and to date three families have moved in. Home sales counselor Siby Jehn-Johnson praised the cooling ocean breeze that brings relief from the heat during California’s warmer months. The “forever” views at the new neighborhood’s location are particularly special because no development will ever be allowed within the large Burton Mesa Ecological Reserve. Jehn-Johnson also pointed out that although the location away from Lompoc feels “out in the country,” there’s a re department and ambulance service one mile away, and Lompoc Valley’s new hospital is only twelve minutes away. She described Falcon Heights as being so close to the Village with an ideal location and views of a nearby lage Country Club that it’s almost like an extension. The space of each of a homeowner’s property is generous, ranging from about 10,000 square feet to more than an acre. Floor plans o er from 2,779 to 3,494 square feet, and the 15 exterior elevations provide a unique and interesting streetscape. “Some of the views are just spectacular—you are surrounded by over 5,000 acres of natural reserve. So it’s very quiet. And our prices are absolutely excellent.” Jehn-Johnson gave an example of a 2,819-square-foot, single-story home with four bedrooms, two and a half baths, exercise room, outdoor room, office option, and two-car garage on a 27,219-square-foot property for $617,900. A few of the home’s standard features that get rave reviews from homebuyers are bi-fold doors, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances. “People walk in and just fall in love with the place.” Williams Homes was established in 1997 by Lance Williams to create new communities throughout Southern California, receiving the Building Industry Association’s Builder of the Year Award for 2013. e new Central Coast division of Williams Homes also recently opened Parkland Cottages in Santa Maria, which features 21 single-story detached homes behind a gated entry, with prices starting at $300,000. Harvest Glen, also in Santa Maria, also has a number of homes for sale. Though for Jehn-Johnson, Falcon Heights is where she plans to remain for now. Not only is she selling the homes there–she just moved into one herself. “We are located between everything that is fun,” she said, when listing some of the reasons why she chose to leap in on a home for herself. “It is a quick drive to the Santa Rita Hills vineyards and a short trip to the Lompoc Wine Ghetto. In the other direction, there are the beaches of Pismo and Avila. And then, of course, there’s the Santa Ynez Valley only 30 minutes away. It’s perfect. “I love our panoramic view of the mountains. I can even see the (Vandenberg Air Force Base) launch pad. One could have a rocket launch party right here! “There is a lot of freedom and serenity here,” Jehn-Johnson added. “It’s a fun place for kids to grow up–they’ve got big yards to have their friends over. And it’s close to the services you need if you’re a mature empty-nester. It’s a beautiful place for young and old.”
